I have been incredibly busy and therefore have had no extra time to blog and in fact I should be doing a homework assignment instead of blogging but I am super behind and wanted to get this in before the day set Feb. Which is tomorrow. ha!
This last year was one of the BEST and hardest years of my entire life. We opened the year to birthing the most beautiful little person in the world. Well I birthed Brooklyn. Clarke was there ha ha! When we were in the hospital I couldn't help but feel a little overwhelmed. I thought that I would have this amazing experience where I would just fall right in love with her and that she would feel the same. However I was so exhausted from labor that I could barely keep my eyes open let alone have any sense of what was going on. DOn't get me wrong I loved her more than anything I just couldn't express it for some reason. It was really REALLY REALLY hard to be a good mom, the mom she needed, I didn't know what I was doing, I felt lazy in a way even though when she needed me I was always there. I mostly felt, when I would look at her she would look back at me and think, mom you are crazy and I just don't really like you much. I have no idea why I felt this way, well I guess there are a couple reasons why I was feeling this way but I just didn't feel like I was going to be a good mom. Brooklyn has taught me the meaning of absolute hard work and sacrifice. I have never been more happy to have such a beautiful little girl in my life everyday. She is the best thing that I have ever done. That's what I said when she came out too. to be continued

Family Christmas Party
This was our Burnett family Christmas party. I love my dad's side of the family. They are all the sweetest people EVER!! Our grandparents were the BEST and I'm not even kidding. I wish they were here everyday! Anyway every year we have what is called a grab box and usually everyone participates but this year was a little different. Because there are so many kids (our cousins kids) we decided to just have the grab box for them. My super generous cousins Nikki and Brady bought all the gifts so no one had to bring anything, besides the side dish they were assigned. I couldn't believe they seriously got all these awesome gifts for the kids. We were all blown away. They are the great. We had a lot of fun chatting and seeing everyone again. I love this time of year just for that reason. Here are some fun pictures of our eventful evening.
These are my cousin's kids and Brooklyn. They loved crawling around with her. It was cute to watch
Brooklyn got a cell phone.. he he just what she needs right..

Merry Christmas and the BIG 25
On Christmas eve we went down to Syracuse to stay the night with my brother and sister in law with their two kids at her parents house. It was a lot of fun. Great food and fun prizes. That night and every christmas eve night My sister in law's family opens up all their gifts from each other. It was fun watching. The married couples got wheat grinders and a bucket full of wheat. Man what a sweet gift. I wouldn't mind one of those. My sister in law's sister got a Wii so for the rest of the night we played the Wii. We woke up Christmas morning at my brothers house to lots of gifts from Santa for the kiddos. It was really fun to watch my niece and nephew open all their gifts, I can't wait until I have a house full of kids. Brooklyn was so dang cute. Everything she picks up she immedatley hugs. So we got her this teddy bear that has been under our tree at home for weeks now and almost everyday she would crawl over to the teddy bear and give it a great big hug, but we would have to tell her sorry Brooklyn that is for Christmas so we would put it back under the tree. Well on Christmas morning we showed her where the teddy bear was and she crawled as fast as she could to it and gave it the biggest hug she was so excited. It was AWESOME.
We gave her a doll that she also loved and gave hugs to..at one point she had the teddy bear and doll in both arms hugging both of them. she is such a little snuggler.
We gave her some puzzles, some clothes and a walker. She loves al of them. It was a great first Christmas for her.
Clarke and I didn't have a ton of money this year because lets face we are poor collages students. We ended up making some crafts and selling a bunch so we could buy eachother gifts this year. I got Clarke some snow gloves he has been needing for plowing, a FOX sweater, some pants, and a couple shirts. He got me a couple shirts, some wrist/arm bands for working out, some hair stuff, and a sweater. It was great being able to get each other gifts. Even though that's not what Christmas is all about, it's just really fun to see the look on the faces whom you love when they open a great gift from you.
I am so thankful for our Savior who died for us and still lives for us. We are so very blessed to have what we have and to have such amazing families and friends. We Love all of you. This Xmas was so wonderful. I hope we don't lose site of who we are and to try to be a little more kind and generous throughout the year.
The very next day is always my Birthday. This year I am turning 25 Ya well I don't feel 25. It's weird how fast time flies. My family tries really hard to make it a special day for me esp my Amazing husband. Even my great friends remember to call or text me or even facebook me, whatever or however they do it, I really am so grateful for them all. Thank you Thank you!!!
This year A LOT of our family and friends chipped in and surprised me with one of the greatest gifts ever..hehe a Wii. I have been wanting a wii forever, but they are so expensive. When I opened it I seriously could not stop smiling I was so shocked I was in tears. I couldn't believe that I got a Wii. We spent the rest of the day relaxing going out for lunch with my birthday money and playing the wii. It is really a great family oriented thing. We have so much fun, my dad even comes over and plays with us and loves it. It is so awesome. Thanks again to all of you, you know who you are, who pitched in and got me such a generous gift. WOW I really do have such amazing families and friends. I am so very blessed!!!
Sorry about all the pictures.
Oh and we forgot to bring a bottle and the formula for Brooklyn..mostly bc I'm used to just nursing her and we were in a hurry hehe. So Clarke had to go to Wal-Mart and buy some formula and a bottle. Luckly we had two $7 check that Enfamil had sent us that day so we got a huge $20 thing of formula for $5..sweet deal. Merry Xmas to us!

Let is Snow Let it Snow Let it Snow
It has been snowing so much lately, I'm just glad it's not twelve below anymore..holy crap that is enough to make you cry! We LOVE LOVE LOVE the snow ...not so much LOVE that I don't have much a husband lately. He is out in this freezing cold weather making some extra cash for his beautiful family. I must say though that we are pretty grateful for this weather. I know right, your all cursing me. We have been able to make some extra Christmas money by Clarke plowing all the time. I miss having a husband around though. I'm not used to him being gone so much. But it will be worth it.
We always LOVE the Christmas Season around here. I swear I way to many Decorations for Christmas. But whats to many eh...I LOVE all of them and will not be giving any away anytime soon. Here are some fun pictures of what Christmas looks like at our house.
So at church today Little Miss Brooklyn was playing and decided to try and put her own sock on and put her bow on her head.. So dang cute. Clarke and I were like how in the world does she know so much. She is one smart little thang. We just LOVE her so much. She also crawls, as one of my greatest friends puts it, Like one of those broken toys on Toy Story. I'll video tape it and post it later. It is freakin hilarious. Everyone always comments on it.

11 months
Brooklyn is 11 months today! WHAT? That means that she will be a year in one month... ya I had to do the math too. JK I just can't believe it. She is learning so much and collecting info like a sponge. I am so grateful for my (prob) 15 lb baby G. what a little skinny minny but I could just eat her.
THings she has been doing this last little while.
-climbing on everything
-into everything
-says momma and dadda (mostly dadda)
-ease (please)
-thanx (thanks, only sometimes)
-puts things back where she found them
-can crawl up the stairs
-LOVES food
-cuddles up next to her pink Giaraffe (thanks Leah), her elephant, and her bunny blanket
-gives the cutest hugs
-LOVES books
-crawls over to us pulls on our pant leg and begs like a puppy
still doesn't fully laugh like she only did once...it's the cutest laugh ever and I really really want to hear it again....I don't know what else I can do to get her to do it again, I've tryed everything.
-walks around the table while holding on all by herself
-got her 7th tooth, the 4 top teeth came in at the same time when she was about 10 months
-had her first ice cream cone
I'm sure I'll think of more later but for now this should do.. Enjoy

Thanksgiving
This year we had Thanksgiving with Clarke's family in Roy. This was Brooklyn's first Thanksgiving, she enjoyed most of it but by the time the food was ready she was pooped and so onrey.. she needed a nap so bad. so after we both wrestled with her she went to sleep in daddas arms. My grandmaa had a pinyada for the kids and there was lots of yummy treats inside. I am so grateful for my family and all that I have. I am so very blessed. Also Clarkes brothers girlfriend came to visit us for Thanksgiving. Can I say that I would claim her as a sister even if they don't get married. I seriously LOVE her. She is awesome and us 4 girls would have A LOT of fun. I was SO SO sad when she had to go back to Nebraska and so was my bro in law. Never seen the poor guy so sad. It's only a matter of time!

Slow cooker
So I know that I am not the greatest at updating my blog.... I have been and always am busy....ya ya ya whatev right!!! My goal is to blog about something at least once a week. There are lots of cool things that go on in our fun-filled lives that I'm sure you are all just dieing to read about, so with that being said here is an update on what has been going on in our most awesome lives here in Logan, Utah!!
A Xmas wreath I made out of xmas bulbs... My friend Nikki gave me the idea and we made ours together I should have taken a picture of hers, we both liked each others better..ha ha
another project I had a lot of fun with! Clarke cut out my wood pieces and I painted them and glued on the letters.
"What, did I do something wrong momma, or dada"
Brooklyn LOVES the Sunday newspaper just as much as we do, only I think she has more fun!
yet another fun project I did.. same thing as the Winter one.
My awesome Friends and their awesome crafts they made on Craft DAY... Whit and Brooke
My other awesome friend Nikki and Brooke
Brooklyn also LOVES the fridge, what baby doesn't?
She loves the glass as well....what doesn't she love... I constantly am telling her no no when she sticks her fingers in the VCR and DVD player but she doesn't ever listen.
Practicing her snyper skills... this was after we took off her costume.
Clarke went on a four wheeling trip with one of his buddies a couple weekends ago and came home covered in MUD..but he a blast
Brooklyn absolutely LOVES to play in this drawer in the kitchen...Don't give her any grief.
Brooklyn gets to take baths as a big girl now. She no longer needs the little baby tub...she was able to grow just a little bit more to move on, skinny little stinker..
Learning to brush her 7 teeth....ya my 10 in a half month old (soon to be 11 months) has '7' teeth...and YES I am still nursing ha ha, but I didn't say it was the most fun thing and most pain free thing...I do it for the baby. I know I am such a super mom!
Loves her Graham crackers oh so much! She can't get enough of these and she eats them so well. I guess I don't see how see couldn't with all those beautiful teeth she has!

Halloween '09
This Halloween not only do we or should I say 'I' (Clarke doesn't really dress up) get to dress up but we have a little sweetie to get all prettyed up as well. Might I say it was a Blast-o. Brooklyn was a Ladybug, and a cute one at that! I borrowed my friends daughters costume that she wore last year. I had to work on Halloween and by the time I got home I was so exhausted I just wanted to take a nap. Clarke went four wheeling with his friend and Brooklyn took a hour nap...not long enough. So by the time we got around to getting stuff together for our wards trunk-or-treat it was pretty much over and Clarke wasn't back yet. We did get some candy and got to see some fun costumes. Our friends, Nikki and Kade dressed up as a bunny and a trapper and dressed their little boy up as a skunk. So dang cute. They looked awesome and Brooklyn was terrified of Kade, She knows him well but he looked a little scary to her. after the trunk or treat Clarke and I decided to go out to dinner to Texas Road House. MMMmm Good..LOVE that place. Then we went back home put Brooklyn to bed and went to our next door neighbors to watch Disturbia. A couple weeks before Halloween my friend Karen Kelly threw a party. It was so much fun, we had a lot of fun. I dressed up as Pippy Long stocking. Whit dressed up as a motorcycle thug person, karen was a jypsy, Jenny Ringer was a patient at the hospital with the huge butts that stick out of the gown, Charlette Gardner was a jypsy as well. It was prety fun. I made this sweet scarcrow cake..Clarke did most of it so I could get ready...What a sweet hubby! It turned out pretty dang good. The fir before Halloween I worked and was like one of the only ones who dressed up...dumb people, it's the one day you can wear whatever you want and have fun with it....come on.. I dressed up as a Cowgirl. It was pretty cute. I borrowed my friends cute cowgirl boots and belt. Clarke and I got around to carving our pumpkins too, I love carving pumpkins, it's AwEsOmE.
All in all it was a really fun halloween. I didn't dress up on halloween because I was dressed up out. Just to exhausted. Hope you all had a great halloween. Here are some pictures of our Halloween greatness!!

LaS VeGaS
So this is really REALLY old news and long over due.
For our 4th anniversary We went to Vegas our anniversary is on the 23rd of Sep. We went that weekend with some friends of ours, who actually invited us to go with them. They were also going for their anniversary which is the 29th. Nikki and Kade Gardner.
We stayed at the South Point Hotel and Casino...it was a way nice hotel.
We went to the temple, went shopping, walked the strip, which was pretty crazy, ate dinner at all the fine dining haha, gambled , with the hotels money of course, and rode on the New York New York ride which was also crazy...I was freakin out. I am so afraid of heights and this roller coaster is way high up there, But it was well worth it. I had lost my voice so pretty much anything I said was a big a joke. Kade had fun making fun of me haha not hard to do. There was this coctail lady who would yell 'Coctails's", unfort we never got to hear it but Nikki and Kade did. Kade did a pretty good job memicking her, it was awesome.... The temple was so beautiful. I'm glad we were able to go.
Brooklyn got to stay with Grandma and Grandpa Alder in La Verkin while we were gone. She did fairly well but not great. I think she wasn't feeling her best and she doesn't get to see grandma and grandpa much so it was different for her. She missed her momma and dadda too. She was so happy to see us when we got home she wouldn't let anyone hold her for a couple of weeks. she was scared of everyone and didn't do so well at the babysitters house. Poor girl thought we'd never come get her or leave her with complete strangers. Here are some pictures of the trip.

9 Month check up
So I took Brooklyn to her 9 month check up on Thur the 8th of Oct. and she came out at 14 lbs 12.5 oz (5%) and 27 in (30%.) She gained ONE pound in 3 months.....UHHH there is something wrong with this picture and I'm pretty sure the doc was going to let me hear about it. LOL So what happens; The doctor walks in the room and says we need to talk, I was like oh crap here we go... He asked if I was still nursing, I said yes and he said to put a couple tablespoons of formula in her milk to get some more fat in her diet. He also told me he wanted me to give her more fat and protein and we can start feeding her our food. So when we eat she eats too. It has been a really fun thing so far to be able to feed her table food. She really REALLY likes it to. I give her banana's to eat and she just loves those. She does really well with eating. So far I have given her bread, banana's, rice, corn, chicken, mashed potatoes, yogart, cottage cheese and a little chocolate. She loves all of them. It is so fun to watch her eat and learn new things. She is also almost crawling...What the..she is an army crawler for now but almost has it down....it's fun to watch her. I love my job!

Tony Grove Lake
For our honeymoon we went camping at Tony Grove Lake....(then there was no lake it was under construction). We decided to make it a tradition that we would go up there every year on or around our anniversary to see the fall colors. This year it was pretty cold up there I thought at one point Brooklyn was going to cry, needless to say we didn't stay to long. Last year there was a lot of snow and we had our dog Maggie with us and I had a big Pregnant belly. This year we had Brooklyn and Clarke's bro Derek.
