On Christmas eve we went down to Syracuse to stay the night with my brother and sister in law with their two kids at her parents house. It was a lot of fun. Great food and fun prizes. That night and every christmas eve night My sister in law's family opens up all their gifts from each other. It was fun watching. The married couples got wheat grinders and a bucket full of wheat. Man what a sweet gift. I wouldn't mind one of those. My sister in law's sister got a Wii so for the rest of the night we played the Wii. We woke up Christmas morning at my brothers house to lots of gifts from Santa for the kiddos. It was really fun to watch my niece and nephew open all their gifts, I can't wait until I have a house full of kids. Brooklyn was so dang cute. Everything she picks up she immedatley hugs. So we got her this teddy bear that has been under our tree at home for weeks now and almost everyday she would crawl over to the teddy bear and give it a great big hug, but we would have to tell her sorry Brooklyn that is for Christmas so we would put it back under the tree. Well on Christmas morning we showed her where the teddy bear was and she crawled as fast as she could to it and gave it the biggest hug she was so excited. It was AWESOME.
We gave her a doll that she also loved and gave hugs to..at one point she had the teddy bear and doll in both arms hugging both of them. she is such a little snuggler.
We gave her some puzzles, some clothes and a walker. She loves al of them. It was a great first Christmas for her.
Clarke and I didn't have a ton of money this year because lets face we are poor collages students. We ended up making some crafts and selling a bunch so we could buy eachother gifts this year. I got Clarke some snow gloves he has been needing for plowing, a FOX sweater, some pants, and a couple shirts. He got me a couple shirts, some wrist/arm bands for working out, some hair stuff, and a sweater. It was great being able to get each other gifts. Even though that's not what Christmas is all about, it's just really fun to see the look on the faces whom you love when they open a great gift from you.
I am so thankful for our Savior who died for us and still lives for us. We are so very blessed to have what we have and to have such amazing families and friends. We Love all of you. This Xmas was so wonderful. I hope we don't lose site of who we are and to try to be a little more kind and generous throughout the year.
The very next day is always my Birthday. This year I am turning 25 Ya well I don't feel 25. It's weird how fast time flies. My family tries really hard to make it a special day for me esp my Amazing husband. Even my great friends remember to call or text me or even facebook me, whatever or however they do it, I really am so grateful for them all. Thank you Thank you!!!
This year A LOT of our family and friends chipped in and surprised me with one of the greatest gifts ever..hehe a Wii. I have been wanting a wii forever, but they are so expensive. When I opened it I seriously could not stop smiling I was so shocked I was in tears. I couldn't believe that I got a Wii. We spent the rest of the day relaxing going out for lunch with my birthday money and playing the wii. It is really a great family oriented thing. We have so much fun, my dad even comes over and plays with us and loves it. It is so awesome. Thanks again to all of you, you know who you are, who pitched in and got me such a generous gift. WOW I really do have such amazing families and friends. I am so very blessed!!!
Sorry about all the pictures.
Oh and we forgot to bring a bottle and the formula for Brooklyn..mostly bc I'm used to just nursing her and we were in a hurry hehe. So Clarke had to go to Wal-Mart and buy some formula and a bottle. Luckly we had two $7 check that Enfamil had sent us that day so we got a huge $20 thing of formula for $5..sweet deal. Merry Xmas to us!
