Thanks to Baby Wise(which I fully believe in) and to all my friends and their words of advice and help, Brooklyn (at 7 weeks) finally slept through the night....all through the night as in I didn't have to go in there and give her her binky at 3 in the morning. She went to sleep at around 10pm and woke up the next day at 8am. O my gosh am I dreamin....So sweet. I am so grateful for Sleep, I almost forgot what it feels like to get a full night of rest. Good thing I haven't lost my mind in the process! It feels so awesome.

Brooklyn's very first sleep over was at my really really good friend Celestial's house on Jan 16th. Our husbands are both in YM's in our ward and were going on a sleepover at Riverdale Resort with their boys. Clarke wasn't sure if he wanted to go because he didn't want to leave me by myself with the baby. So we came up with the idea, actually Celestial's husband Jacob came up with the idea, of us girls having a sleepover so neither one of us would be alone. It was really fun to get out of the house and hang out with Celestial. But it really was one of the hardest nights I have ever had. Brooklyn didn't want to stay asleep for more then a hour at a time. I would feed her and she would fall asleep and then i'd fall asleep and an hour later she was crying because she was hungry or something. She couldn't stay awake long enough to eat. I cried a lot that night and said like a thousand prayers, just praying that heavenly father would help me and Brooklyn.

Celine Dion came to Salt Lake City for the first, and hopefully not the last, time on sunday Feb. 22, 2009. IT was a rescheduled show. It was originally scheduled for Nov 21, 2008; I would have been 8 months prego; which wouldn't of been such a big deal. But i'm glad I wasn't pregnant when I Went because it was so hot from all the smoke and stuff, but still I wouldn't of complained. We were at Celine Dion's Concert, Seriously......
When I heard that Celine was coming I imediatley called my mom and told her that we had to go. Ever since I was a little girl I have loved Celine. I always listened to her, pretty much everyday. And I told my mom that if she ever came into town that we had to go no matter what. I looked online for a really long time almost up until the last min to buy tickets because of money, and my mom kept telling me that my step dad would buy them or give me his credit card number but never did and I was getting really worried that we weren't going to be able to go.
Wayne, my step dad, told my mom and I that while we were at the Salt Lake Temple for my cousins wedding in June of 2008 he would go over to the Delta Center, now the Energy Solutions Arena, and get us tickets for Celine's show for us. I was so caught up in the wedding because I hadn't seen my cousins in a long time that I kinda forgot for a min. After my mom and Wayne left I went home as well, it dawned on me that he was going to get the tickets and never said anything the whole day about it. I'll be honest I was really starting to get upset because it was going to be sold out before I knew it, but I didn't want to push it. The next thing I know my mom is calling me telling me that I'll never guess what Wayne had just handed her. Two Celine Dion tickets. And really good Celine Dion tickets.....portal V, row 15 seat 7 and 8. Are you for real.....I cried I was so so excited and excited doesn't even really cut it. I was so grateful that he had remembered and that he surprised us. He told us it was our birthday presents. They were amazing seats. We were literally like 5 feet away from her and could see her really well. My mom and I looked at each other and cried...I know that may sound lame but we have always loved her and were just floored at how incredible her voice is, still to this day it sounds just the same as ever and SO BEAUTIFUL. It was so cool to be able to experience that with my mom too....really! It was one of the most special things I have been so lucky to experience. I will post pictures and video when I can. I can't get to my pictures yet because of our computer.

OK! So this is how this works...the first 5 people to respond to this
post will receive something made by me for you.
made especially for you.
of course there are some restrictions and limitations:
1 .I make no guarantees that you will like what I make!
2. what I create will be just for you.
3 It will be done sometime this year.
4 you have no clue what it will be... it may be a story. It may be poetry or an article on properly cleaning your face before a masque. I may draw or paint something. I may bake something and mail it to you. Who knows? Not you, that's for sure. ;-)
5 I reserve the right to do something extremely strange.
The catch? The catch is that you must repost this on your own blog
and offer the same to the first 5 people who do the same on their blog.
The first 5 people to do so and leave a comment telling me they did will win a FAB-U-LOUS homemade gift by me!!
Oh! And be sure to post a picture of what you win when you get it!

Brooklyn is 6 in a half weeks old and sleepin thro the night....Sweet action right? Right!
So the last couple of nights Brooklyn has slept thro the night. Might I say that I was so stoked. On Thursday night we put her down at 12:00pm and she woke up at 3am for her 3 hour feeding, but instead of picking her up like I normally would to feed her I just gave her her binky to see if she would go back to sleep and to my surprise she did. She didn't wake up until 6am. Oh ya it was awesome.
On Friday night we put her down to sleep at 9:30pm and she woke up at 3am again and I did the same thing, gave her her binky, and she went right back to sleep until 5am. yet again another awesome night. When we both woke up at 8 I had a headache....probably from laying in bed to long. I hadn't laid in bed that long since before she was born. But I was just so happy that I got some more sleep and that was able to sleep during the night.

Valentines Day this year was a little different than most Valentines Days. Not the romantic thing it was intended to be...But we didn't mind. I was getting back from a small vacation from Ephraim/Manti. I was visiting Clarke's Aunt and her family and his grandma, which I am very close to (all of them). (I will post more about the trip soon)
When i got home it was like 5 or 6pm Clarke was fixing dinner, well sorta. He didn't think he had enough time to fix an actual meal so he bought some Hungry Dinners....Yum....RIght.. Ya not! It was the thought that counted. I'm not to into frozen dinners and I didn't think that Clarke was either, we both always enjoy a nice home cooked dinner, as do most people, but again he didn't have any time left in the day for that. So we made the best of it and ate what we wanted. He had the house all cleaned up, chocolates and A dozen Roses for me as well. They were so beautiful and still are sitting on our kitchen table. I got him this basket of varied candy. From the Candies on main in Manti. He really liked it. We then went up stairs put baby to bed and spent the night watchin a movie and cuddlin.....since you all know that's about all we can do at this point. HAHAHA ...........TMI
I hope you all had a great Valentines!

So our computer, motherboard if you will, crashed the other day. So we have to buy a whole new motherboard or a new computer. Luckly our awesome Friend Brian Gibson got Clarke a restored laptop for christmas this year so we aren't completely out of luck. However all of our music and pictures are on the computer, which we thankfully didn't lose, So i can't update anything with pictures at the time being. Hopefully we will be able to get a new motherboard soon. we found one that isn't super expensive.....a whopping 37 dollars that retails at 200 dollars. its brand new and don't ask me how who ever is selling it is selling it for so cheap. Clarke says it should be ok. so hopefully we aren't wasting our money on something that is just going to crap out on us again. I will post pic and be better at blogging as soon as i can....

Last night Clarke offered to take Brooklyn all through the night for feedings so I could get a good nights sleep and I wasn't about to complain. So at around 7pm I feed her then we went out to eat at Village Inn, which let me tell wasn't all that great, I don't think we will be going back there again. Anyway the next feeding should of been at 10, but little miss Brookee did not want to wake up so we just let her sleep and feed her when she woke up, well to our surprise she woke up at ONE O'CLOCK in the morning......that is 6 hours my friend. The most she has ever slept has been 4 hours. So 6 hours is HUGE.....
Clarke had to come wake me because she was still hungry, after eating 4 oz's; little piggee; so I feed her a little and sang some songs to her and she then fell aspleep at around 3am. She woke up at 7am for the next feeding, Thats 4 more hours but 5 hours going with out food. I was so excited for us and her. That has never happened amd it was seriously not fair that Clarke got the best night so far. I hope that she will continue to sleep like that. She is 8 pounds now so I guess tech she can because her stomach is bigger and can hold more food for longer periods of time. I wanted to post this next part for a journal intry so feel free to skip if you don't want to read. Clarke was feeding Brooklyn at 7am and I woke up at 8am so of course I didn't need to feed her but I did need to pump. I pumped 6 oz's in 20 mins. That has never happened either. It was probably mostly because I didn't feed her all through the night like i'm used to. I have been trying to make more milk anyway by pumping for 10 mins after every feed and it has been working, so that is just awesome. :)

I love love LOVE holding my baby and feeding her. She just cuddles right up to me and barries her head into my chest. It's the most precious thing in the whole world; To smell the top of her head, give her sweet kisses, make her smile. I feel so bad and kinda sad when i have to put her down after she has fallen alseep, I just want to hold her all the time. Lately she has gone down for a nap and then like a half an hour later she wakes up crying. So I go see whats up, give her her benky and she clams right down. Sometimes tho she just wants her mommy to hold her. But i don't always pick her up or run to her at every cry. I usually let her cry for a while to see if she will just go back to sleep, which sometimes she does.
The other day Clarke was playing with her lips and making litle nosies at her and she responded by trying to make the exact same nosies. it was the cutest thing in the world, oh my gosh she is so smart and strong. I can't belive it. I love her so much.
I was thinkin about going back to work the other day and I got so depressed because the thought of someone else feeding my baby and taking care of her just makes me so sad. I don't know how I will do it or who will watch her for that matter. So if there are any vollenteers please let me know, it will make my life a little less strssfull! Thanks!
